Its kinda messy the storyline so categorize it yourselves.
Residential college E
l It is private managed,not like AB and CD that under UMS.
l The rooms are like one times smaller than the room of AB,occupying four people in a room.Got four floor+one ground floor and apartment sort of.Each rumah will have three rooms.Although its small,i think its still okay for me now...
l We got Wifi where you can use the UMS student wifi at the Cafeteria.One thing that I didnt know about until the third week is that the lappie can actually online at the cafe, go use the internet explorer then only go login
l About the cafe,its not really clean like AB and CD but we have varieties of food.Two main stall that sell economic rice+cookery,another one cookery, Teahouse, Coolcity(sell like bubble tea,icecreams+etc),burger stall outside,bakery, and outside got two stalls sell like fried junk food+sliced food..
l Got one mini shop sell food supplies(even eggs), one mini bookstore but anjung siswa’s bookstore cheaper lo, and some telecommunication shops(digi,maxix,erm celcom got reload machine)
l E got lots of activities clubs unlike AB and CD. Could be troublesome at times depending on the person.
l Block A1,A2,A3,B1 is girls dorm,Block B2 is guys.
l The first day here,I mean the registration day,there were students selling necessaries like basket,iron,pillow,etc.If not,find some friends go 1Borneo buy.
l Got some -tive things but explore it for yourselves.
University area.
l Its super big.30 minutes hill walk from Kampung E to Chancellor Hall, about 15/20 more to SPE-Sekolah Perniagaan&Ekonomi,that is my school.
l The first week especially,there will be lots of walking to be done,LOTs.Buy some good shoe if you dont want your feet to hurt that much.
l You will explore the uni yourselves when you are here.
l Like 30 minutes from BKI,traffic jam then i dont know.
l Dewan Chancellor very big,can occupy more than 5000 people.In middle of library and Anjung Siswa.
l The library is a mega library.if im not wrong,theres four floor.Inside also provides MegaLab where 500 computers are there connect at the same time.Induction of library will be on the end of the first month.
l DKP baru beside kampung E, DKP lama+PPIB+SPE+SPS+library is after DC.
l There will be bus service of blue UMS bus that you pay during the beginning d.
l T.U.T bus also got but need money,Rm0.50 inside campus,RM1 to 1B,RM1.50 to KK town.
l Btw,the bus is usually cramped during the peak hours.Too many students fighting for the bus,I tell you.The rest,come here see the situation for yourselves.
l We got International Students too,mostly from China(normally they are fashionable)
SPE
l Its the furthest school from the dorms.
l Got sea view from there.
l Tutorials held there.
l Im He09,got facebook page also for He09 course.
l Got SPE facebook page where you can find 2nd hand books from the seniors.Better find 2nd hand book coz the price of some books quite expensive, but do check see whether your lecturer is still using the book or the newer or other version.Or there’s other subject like Marketing book that has an online code to the website so,better to buy new one for that.
PPIB
l Pusat Perantaraan Ilmu dan Bahasa.
l Languages classes held there.
l Foreign language for band 3 and above,communicative english for below 3.
l Foreign language includes Japanese,Korean,Spanish,France,Chinese,Tamil,Kadazandusun,etc.
l Some like Korean are limited places,wishing you luck when registering the subjects.
l Japanese got quite lots of classes but see which lecturer better lo.
l Im taking France but the pronunciation is quite hard.So,its hard.
l Before I forget, you canNOT take your own mother language.Even if you are banana,you are not allowed. Even if you’re half blood if im not wrong.
l Foreign students take Malay language, we malaysian take HE(hubungan etnik) for the arts students,Science take TITAS for this year.Gonna change for the next semester
